The Big O Replica takes it's first test run at the New Hampshire International Speedway on May 19, 2004. On Tuesday, May 18, the car was finally finished at 2 A.M. We went home for a few hours of sleep and came back to find gasoline all over the floor and in the oil pan, filter and cylinders. The fuel shut off was defective so after changing the oil and cleaning up the gasoline we finally got started on our way about 11 A.M. We arrived at N.H.I.S. about two o'clock and got settled in our garage next to a #707 replica of Bentley Warren's first jalopy. Things didn't go so well the first day. Mike and Sandy Sargent brought us a new fuel shut off to use on Thursday, May 20. After some tuning on the fuel injection, the car started and we were able to get some track time.
